Jan 17, 2008 - What I USED to like about Spirit was their sharpness and origionality (bout....4 to 5 years ago) but now I look at it...and i realise, it is the same thing. I see the SAME phrases and stuff mixd in("take me to the top" during stunts, "you think you can beat us" during tumbling, etc.) .And you know what? I WISH I could see squads that brought more, origionality to the sport....you guys are SUPERB don't get me wrong! But....you are the same sorry.

Now that I moved on in life, I agree with you that all cheerleading pretty much uses the same things. I am sure they have some really great new individual PEOPLE that really make the team pop.....but I don't see anything different as far as true origionality goes. But then again the same thing happens in EVERY sport. I mean look at gymnastics! Not much TRUE pioneers in the feild anymore.

I am only speaking of my personal experience as a cheerleader. and i agree with you....pretty much all cheerleading seems to be borrowing off the smae mix (lol). I never said I didn;t like them :) Ony that well, I just don;t get the same awe and exitement is all :)

Mar 23, 2008 - i understand what you are saying...but i don't agree with you at all. their routine this year is one of the most exciting routines and one of the most original routines they have put together. i love spirit of texas. all the major teams this year have put together routines that are going to make worlds this year off the hook.
