Sep 8, 2008 - Bill I gots the trophy you NEED for that game room! Me's got a Mountain Lion (full body mount) that needs a little restoration. We collect taxidermy and the cougar was one I rescued from a friend. He was gonna put him in the trash and I said 'NO WAY! Give him to me.' So he did. Missing it's claws is all. Love your moose! Guy after my own heart, I figure to mount them honors the animal. We just collect antlers, skulls & mounts, I never had the guts to actually hunt them. :~)Thanks 4 sharing.

Sep 8, 2008 - Say Bill, you sure have a nice game room, how close were you to the bear you shot ?

Sep 8, 2008 - Bill that looks like an awfully big moose if you ask me! And that alligator--scary!So we've got a cougar here too if you're interested. Except this one's (maybe more than one?) live and comes to "visit" every year around this time. Plenty of deer to eat so I'm not concerned about it going after my horses. But they just get frantic knowing he's around. Oh, and the DNR says cougars don't exist around these parts but if you do see one it's illegal to shoot it--go figure.

Sep 8, 2008 - wow..karen, I would not want that thing around my horses or me for that matter. I've hunted elk a good bit and those cats terrify me. I know a guy that had to kill one that was after him one time.

Sep 8, 2008 - wow julie...those cats are neat trophys...I would like to see some pics of it...I'm not sure if I would want it though since I didn't kill it or have any connection to it. Stuff like the lion and antlers goes for pretty good money on ebay.

Sep 8, 2008 - thanks...I shot him from a tree stand about 30yards away but it was not a lethel shot...then we tracked him down and killed him with a shotgun. It did charge us. Scared me pretty good.
