RECAP:*The car driver sees him and turns around. Nick starts to panic and pulls at his shoe. The car gets closer. Nick closes his eyes, and waits for the pain, when someone sweeps him off his feet and carries him to safety.*Girls voice: Ned, you ok?Nick: What?*The image of the cars lights dim and fade in Nicks eyes. He discovers immediately he is laying on the sidewalk on his back. He blinks his eyes twice, then looks up to see his savior.*CURRENT:Nick: K-Kady? You saved me?Kady: Dont worry Ned! Ill take care of you! You did a good job on your knee there!*Nick looks at his knee. Its scraped and bleeding. Nick groans.*Nick: Stupid bushes!Kady: Youre lucky I have bandages. Nick: No, really Kady Ill be fine. I can walk, its just-Kady: Nonsense. Youve got quite a cut and it could become infected!Nick: Nonsense? What are we, British? Kady: (in British accent.) well, we Brits prefer to think of ourselves as Americans so dont go lipping off to me, or Ill tell your mumsy, and you wont have your afternoon tea tomorrow! *Nick laughs lightly. He stands, dizzy from his near-death. His head hurts from when he hit the sidewalk. Kady holds her arms out incase he needs to fall, but he doesnt. Kady escorts him to her house nearby. She takes him inside and sits him down. She disappears into the hallway, and returns with rubbing alcohol in 1 hand, and cotton balls and bandages in the other. Nick shifts in his seat, uncomfortably.*Nick: Kady, this is unnecessary! You dont need to do this!Kady: chill, Ned! Ill have you back on your feet and outta here in no time!*Kady splashes alcohol on a cotton ball. She drabs it at Nicks wound. Nick moans from the sting. Kady then wraps the bandage around Nicks knee, then pulls his pant leg down over it.*Kady: There we go! Good as new!Nick: Kady, Im still not getting back together with you! You tore my heart in 2!Kady: (voice breaking) I just saved your life and you have to rub in the hurt! Get out of my house, Ned!*Nick jumps back, then dashes out the door. Kady stands a moment, then takes off after him. Nick runs down the street back home. Kady secretly climbs the gutter along the side of the house to Nick and Frankies window. Nick is just coming into the room.*Frankie: Hey, what happened to you?Nick: (babbling quickly.) well there was this gum, and then uh, a car and uh, wait the car, then the gum, and I uh, got stuck and I uh, knocked over onto the ground, uh, Kady fixed, uh, my knee, and uh, I think there was something that had to do with vanilla pudding.*Frankie raises his brow in confusion*Frankie: Riiiiiiiiight. Nick, you need to go to the happy place with Joe?Nick: (rubs the back of his head.) mustve hit my head harder then I thought.Kady: (to herself) Nick? Thought his name was Ned! Wait is that Frankie Jonas in his room?
