Jul 9, 2008 - Greetings Jack my friend!! If you buy a home in South Carolina, it would be best if you purchased one in the upstate where I live. Counties such as Spartanburg (my home county), Greenville or Anderson. Spartanburg and Greenville have the American BMW plant in both counties. BMW has employed several people and pays very well. Both Spartanburg and Greenville have many international businesses here. We do not USUALLY get effected by hurricanes. It's a nice place to live. Peace my friend!!

Aug 3, 2008 - Spartanburg is near the mountains. We are a little over 4 hours from Myrtle Beach and just a little over 3 hours from Charleston. So it's not really close but it's not that far either. When I was in high school many years ago, some of my friends and I would head off to Myrtle Beach immediately after school on Fridays and get there later that evening. We would enjoy the beach in the evening and leave Saturday evening to come home after spending the day at the beach.Peace!!
