The Global Peace Festival (GPF) in Kenya was preceded by environmental service projects, interfaith activity and sports competitions that brought together groups that had been in conflict after the elections. The festival was joined by Prime Minister Odinga and his wife.River Nairobi Clean Up project was organized to promote environmental sustainability in Nairobi. GPF Kenyas organizing team has been developing future action plans towards 2012 expecting the project to be a crucial strategy for achieving the 7th goal of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
