*Please Read First*The Painted Veil- Goddess of MineCLIPS: The Painted Veil, property of Warner Independent PicturesSONG: Curly Sue by TakidaThis vid is my entry into MysteryloverAnne's Final Goodbye contest. There are sections here, after a brief opening (with timing!) in which I switched shots of Walter from color to black and white to foreshadow his death. The beginning and ending are Kitty's feelings upon Walter's death and I used a cool-toned sepia for her thoughts of him; the lengthy middle section are Walter's rememberances of her and their feelings for each other as he dies. I did this because the words of the song seemed to me like his words to her on or after his passing. The sections are separated by two brief important scenes- his proposal and her revelation to him that she is pregnant-sequenced together with subtractive dissolves. Hope that makes sense and that those dissolves look okay- first time I've used them! The very last scene shows Kitty with their son, remembering Walter but in a more positive way. I used a lot of timing here and I TRIED to make it sad for you, Anne!! I loved the way you placed scenes on top of one another, because that made it even more emotional. Song was really perfect for your vid. LOVED IT!!! :-)
