Olikkeetru is a countdown show that promotes Tamil talents around the world through the medium of music videos. Four songs play on every show. One new song introduced every week and one song is eliminated, according to the number of votes from viewers. This show is a stepping-stone to many young talents and motivates them to begin a career not only in the music field, but also in cinematography, acting, directing music videos and many more. The show is not only a countdown show but there is a segment that promotes talents in profiles/interviews, behind the scenes footages, etc.a well-known show among the Tamils that aired in Europe. Taking the success in Europe, Olikeetru debuted on North American waves on January 14, 2007.
