A quick flight in the upcoming release from Aerosoft. I wanted to see how it performed when I used FEX, X-Graphics, Track IR, weather and a whole host of other 'goodies' that typically drain system resources (and therefore FPS).I do not work for Aerosoft, I am just a beta tester, so don't ask me about a release date - because I don't know (I would guess 2-3 weeks, but that's a guess).Thanks to Aerosoft for allowing me to 'shoot' the beta.

Oct 10, 2008 - I bought my new system about 6 months ago. It was fairly high-end then but things seem to move very fast such that it's probably already 'out-of-date'! I use a Quad Q6600 OC @ 2.8Ghz with an 8800GTX Extreme card.It runs the F-16 really well. The model is heavily optimised for fps performance. However, it is certainly a complex model with lots of polygons so it will require a descent system to run well.

As I said before, I don't work for Aerosoft but they're keeping us beta testers well informed about progress and by all accounts it's going well.FSX thunderbirds - then this is definately the bird for you. I think some will be suprised by the performance and others might be dissapointed - it really depends on your PC I think.
