[Everything seemed to pass by in a flash in front of Joe's face after that. As soon as Travis had driven to the spot Kevin had said, all Joe remembered was the crying faces of his friends, ambulance and police sirens, reporters talking, and the one thing he knew would always haunt him, the way Char looked.Joe didn't, actually couldn't, speak. Not after he saw her. And the others didn't blame him, not one bit. Her parents were called, as were Ali, Nikki, Jesse...everyone. At the hospital, the waiting room was crowded. Everyone who knew and loved Charlotte waited in suspense. Although Charlotte had been breathing when they found her, her physical condition was terrible.As worried as everyone was, no one was in a more grim mood than Joe. Weirdly enough, he hadn't even shed a tear since he saw Charlotte. However, his usual tan complexion seemed painted white, his eyes were so dark they seemed black, and he hadn't moved since he sat down. Each time, his parents tried their best to comfort their son, but he wouldn't budge, nor would he say a word.][A doctor walked in.]Doctor: Family and friends of Charlotte White?[Everyone in the room stood and stared. Joe looked up, moving for the first time since he arrived, and stood as well. The doctor looked around, he expected more than ten people, but not this many.]Travis: [hoarse voice]...How is she?Doctor: Her injuries...they were extremely severe. We've treated most of her wounds, and she's responding okay to the medications. *fixes his glasses* However, she's currently in a coma and her heartbeat continues to change rapidly. We...we can't be sure when she's awaken. *looks away for a moment, then looks back at then* We can't be sure if she'll wake up at all.[Some people began to cry at that moment. Joe was motionless, he couldn't move at all. He was in shock. All of this...it was so much.]Doctor: Now...could I possibly speak with the parents? I won't mind if the boyfriend comes as well.[Charlotte's family and Joe walked away with the doctor. Once a good ways away from everyone else, the doctor stopped and faced them.]Mrs. White: Please tell us my child will be okay...please. *crying*Doctor: I'm sorry, ma'am, I don't know at the moment. But, what I called you over was to talk about something...that is quite serious.Mr. White: Like?Doctor: The night Charlotte was found, she was indeed naked, as you should all know, am I correct?Parents&Joe: *nod*Doctor: After looking over her, we found out what had happened. *sighs* Charlotte was raped that night.[Charlotte's mother began to cry, and Joe stood there, biting the inside of his lip, tears burning his vision.]Doctor: Now, Joseph, right?Joe: *nods slowly*Doctor: Noting that she was raped, the police are here, and they asked me to ask you if you know anyone who could've lead to this.[Immediately, Joe thought of Travis. This could be his chance to turn him in. But, he though back to just an hour ago. When Travis had come to save him. He gave Joe a piece of his own shirt to conceal his wound, plus helped his protect his rep. He had to do something. Travis was looking up, looking like he had heard the question, and looked back down, as if expecting what were to come next.]Joe: ...No sir. I don't.[Travis's head shot up in shock. Joe glanced at him, then looked back at the doctor.]Joe: I don't know, sir.Doctor: Alright. But if you find out anything, be sure to report it.Joe: Yes, sir.[The parents and Joe walked back to the room and Joe sat down in his seat, next to Travis.]Travis: *staring at him*...You didn't tell them.Joe: *shakes his head*Travis: ...Thank you...Joe: *looks at him* Yeah...your welcome.[Will Char be okay?!
