I have lived in Alabama all my life, but my heart belongs to northern Pennsylvania, where my family comes from. Beyond that, I can trace my heritage back to the German city of Bretten, the birthplace of the Lutheran Reformer Philipp Melanchthon. For this reason and others, I have a substantial interest in German history, language and culture. My primary academic interests are experimental and applied analysis of behavior (the psychological science based on radical behaviorism), particularly as they relate to escape and avoidance behavior, punishment, cult studies, developmental disabilities, and animal psychology. My hobbies include behaviorally analyzing everybody I meet, doing inferential statistics just for the fun of it, reading science fiction and alternate history, Christian (particularly Reformed) apologetics, and reading the Bible in English, German and Spanish. I want to learn Greek so I can read it in that language too.I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Sheol. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Et ecclesia semper reformanda est!
