Fashion Fights Poverty is driven by two principles: 1) design can change the world and 2) changing the world is everyone's responsibility. In co-founding FFP, Michael Dumlao, Sylvie Luanghy and Kadrieka Maiden wanted to build a movement that celebrated not only design, but how creativity can contribute to the global fight against poverty. While FFP focuses mainly on fashion and the fashion industry, we've discovered that FFP also touches the worlds of politics and international development. Bridging the gap between culture and politics and broadening the dialogue about fighting poverty beyond policy makers has become an increasingly important focus.

Take Action athttp://www.inmyname.comIn 2000, 189 governments made the historic commitment to half extreme poverty by 2015. We are halfway to the deadline, but poverty still kills 50,000 people every day. We can be the generation that ends poverty. We must act now!
